Q: Why should I hire a General Contractor?

A: Bodee takes care of everything.

The convenience of a one-stop shop and piece of mind.

Let’s say, for example, you want to renovate your kitchen. With Bodee, you don’t have to perform the demolition, seek out a sheet rocker, hire a cabinet installer, ask around for a dependable plumber or electrician, look for a tile installer, find a countertop supplier and fabricator, etc, etc, ETC! We have the experience required to do the legwork, skilled in-house crew, and a network of suppliers and tradespeople to get the job done right. We’ll guide you through budget planning, design, material selection, and scheduling of deliveries until the very finishing touches and final details so you won’t go about it all your own. With Bodee, not only will you have construction professionals managing your project, but you will also reap the benefits of our established relationships, while working with one accountable lead-person for the entirety of your project.

Q: Do you accept credit cards or offer financing?

A: Yes. All major credit cards are accepted and we also offer financing. Call for more details.

Q: How are payments set up?

A: Payments are set up incrementally. After the initial deposit, the remaining installments are due only after portions of the project have been completed. Clients appreciate our straightforward approach: you get your money’s worth as opposed to paying a large amount ahead of time or paying increments on random dates rather than by portion completion. The detailed payment schedule is outlined in the agreement, reviewed with you, and agreed upon prior to the start of work.

Q: Who gets the materials?

A: Bodee can provide all the materials, or just the rough-in materials. Who will supply the finishing materials will be discussed during your appointment.

Q: What materials are best for my project? Which materials should I choose?

A: You may be overwhelmed by the options available to you. We can help you sort through and narrow down these options by equipping you with the knowledge to make informed, educated decisions. We take the time to guide you through choosing materials appropriate and consistent with the look, feel and functionality of your home. This assistance will enable you to choose the materials that best meet your desired image in the most budget-friendly manner.

Q: I have magazine clippings and pictures of what I want. Can you replicate these examples?

A: Clippings, pictures, and/or online idea books are very beneficial because they illustrate your ideas and give us a good starting point. We often find that pictures are the most effective approach when expressing a clients wishes. Showing us what you want from the start will save time and expedite the process. As long as your space accommodates and the budget allows, we can design whatever it is you want. Whether there is something in a picture you want to have done or it just simply inspires you, we encourage you to have it on-hand to discuss during your consultation.

Q: Do you have any specials or promotions?

A: To keep current with our specials, check out our Specials page, subscribe to our e-newsletter and join Bodee on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter. We also greatly appreciate referrals and repeat customers. Connect with us so you don’t miss a thing!

Q: I have a family dog, cat, or other pet. What does Bodee do to ensure my pet’s safety?

A: We consider the health, well-being and safety of all family members equally. We know that pets can be territorial and curious, so it’s important to keep them in a comfortable area of your home, away from construction for the duration of the project. Should there be times when heavy fumes are present, we may ask you to vacate the premises—and that includes ALL family members. We’ll provide you with ample notice to make appropriate arrangements. Otherwise, just as you wouldn’t allow your children on a construction site, we ask the same for your pets. We appreciate your cooperation.

Q: Will the agreement be in writing?

A: YES. The details of your project will be documented, discussed and agreed upon at your project kick-off meeting, so you can be confident in your decisions. Our agreement clearly states the expectations, responsibilities, and rights of both parties and will be thoroughly reviewed prior to the start of work.

Q: I live in an apartment – condo/coop or townhouse. Does that make a difference?

A: Yes. You will need to review the rules and regulations of your association (alteration agreement) or consult with your building’s management office before we begin. They will have their own set of terms and conditions that must be abided by. We will provide them the paperwork required for approval and we make sure to take the time to understand these regulations prior to the start of work.

Q: How do I know I’ll love the finished product?

A: We keep the lines of communication open throughout the course of construction to ensure the project is meeting your expectations and those set forth in the agreement. If anything needs to be discussed, modified, or added on, we make ourselves available to address these ahead of time, in order to prevent last minute changes. In addition to this, during the finishing stage of your project, we will walk-through the worksite with you to make sure everything is as it should be. Relationships and referrals are our lifeline. We acknowledge our success is contingent on your satisfaction. We know a happy customer is our most valuable asset – Period.
